The Carbon Dioxide Ensemble (CO2E) performs live, original electronic music with interactive visuals, where a copper heart articulated by dry ice, live sampling, and theremin becomes a cinematic soundscape in real time.

Photos from the Concréte Mixer Show

We had a great show and good turnout with an enthusiastic crowd :^) Here are a few photos.

First up, here is a shot of me playing my solo piece on the Octatrack sampler while simultaneously mixing visuals with live camera input.

In the next shot I’m manipulating the visuals using a Livid Base controller.

Next is a photo I took during soundcheck. You can see the copper heart on the right and my rig center stage.

Lastly is a photo taken during the Copper Heart Collaboration set. Tom Lundy is plying the hear with dry ice, I’m sampling it and playing back morphed versions of the heart, and Victoria Lundy is playing Theremin. I’m using a heat filter on the visuals to show off what Tom is up to with the dry ice.
